Sheel Chand Group, headquartered in Lalpur, Uttarakhand, incorporated in 1994, is known for its wide range of top quality Edible oil &Oleo chemical products with panIndia sales and services network. Sheel Chand Group’s focus on continuous upgradation of technology has enabled it to offer superior products to its customers. Over the years, the group has metamorphosed from a solvent extractor to a manufacturer and retailer which offers customized products to fulfil the ever evolving needs of our customer.
Sheel Chand Group’s operations are conducted in two business units:
Sheel Chand Agroils Pvt. Ltd.
Sheel Chand Agroils Private Limited is, an Edible oil and Oleo-chemical company located at Lalpur Kichha Road, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. Sheel Chand Agro came into existence on 30th November 1994, the sole industry in northern India having facilities of Edible as well as Oleo- Chemicals processing in their two separate units.
Sheel Chand Agroils Private Limited was established with a Solvent Extraction Plant (Soya) of installed capacity of 150 TPD. Subsequently, the company created additional capacity by installing Oil Expeller with the capacity of 30 TPD for its seed processing and cake requirement. Later, a physical Refinery with the capacity of 75 TPD was installed and after that, a Vanaspati Plant with a capacity of 75 TPD was also added making it a composite facility.
Milestones:
1994: Installed a solvent extraction plant (soya) of 150 TPD capacity
2002: First to install a physical refinery of 75 TPD capacity in norther region
2006: Planned to enter Oleo chemical market
2008: Installed a splitting and distillation plant with a capacity of 150 TPD
2012: Planned and stated installation of India’s first Top Olein plant for producing high quality cocoa butter equivalent from Palm Oil
2016: Setup a new unit atGandhidham in Gujarat and installed India’sfirst & highest capacity continuous hydrogenation plant in the world.
2019:Implemented SAP-HANA for data integrity and to manage key
In 2008, the company installed a new unit of oil splitting and distillation plant to enter in oleo chemicals field, in this unit we produce high quality Stearic acid, Palmitic acid, Crude fatty acid and Distilled fatty acid.
Today, Sheel Chand Agroils owns 700 TPD Palm oil refinery & fractionation plant,15 TPD Lecithin Plant and 30 TPD blended oil filling station. In 2013-14, we have doubled our capacity of our Oleo chemical plant. Furthermore, we installed the hydrogen generation plant through methanol cracking and single cell electrolytic.
In year 2015, the company set up India’s first SuperOlein Plant with capacity of 125 TPD for high quality Olein (IV 62), Cocoa butter equivalent and palm mid fraction.Sheel Chand is well equipped with newly developed Research and development centre of innovation.
Sheel Oil & Fats Pvt. Ltd.
In order to meet the growing needs of our customers, Sheel Chand Group stepped ahead and set-up a new unit, Sheel Oil & Fats Pvt. Ltd., at Survey No 16, Modvadhar, Taluka Anjar,Gujarat. The unit is equipped with latest technology and has 750 TPD refinery and 300 TPD Oleo-chemical facility. Kandla port being a major transport hub for edible oil, having our facility near port provides us endless opportunity within Indian and global market.
